Stemming from the vocabularies of modernist abstraction, Talci Walci creates intricately structured paintings with emphasis towards graphic orientation, whereby the initial imagery is generated spontaneously before being formulated with highly considered arrangements and superimpositions of the resulting shapes and lines, and then further re-developed into compositions in order to exude qualities of emotive and expressionist appeal.  His works are essentially a presentation of design ideas that reverse the abstract tradition of reducing an image down to unrecognizable form.   Instead, he employs a building-up process of pictorial elements that often hover on the point of recognition.   As such, Talci Walci regards his overall approach as being a constructive, rather than a deconstructive process.

Characterized by innovative composition, Talci Walci's paintings deftly combine representation and abstraction, draughtsmanship and colouration.    Some of his canvases feature atomised forms, whilst others have a more densely overlaid appearance where it is possible to pick out figurative elements.   Some works also exhibit either geometric or organic tendencies, yet any gesturalism evident in his pictures is very highly-controlled.

Although the visual language inherent in his works is open to individual viewer interpretation, Talci Walci chooses to title his paintings - intrinsically to signify reference, rather than appending them all as 'untitled' or with a characterless numbering system.     However, this choice also means that clues are provided about the artist's own perception of each work, such as the specific thematic orientations apparent by virtue of his associated deliberations of colour and painterly finish.

#e22f0   Artist talciwalci -Infinite Human Art London - Profile : New body of work - group exhibition curated by Liliana Gallagher .... "Talci Walci formulates a non-gestural approach to the exploration of painterly abstraction. His recent works, described as graphic expressionist with geometric tendencies, involve compositions that reverse the abstract tradition of reducing a cogent image down to unrecognisable form. Instead, he employs a building-up process of pictorial elements that often hover on the point of recognition. The imagery is created with intuitive juxtapositions of irregular shapes, transposed onto canvas and rendered in acrylic paint. This choice of medium is considered essentially as being pragmatic for the aesthetic presentation of the artist’s design ideas."
